Jay-Z Film Details Emerge
VIBE websclusive: new details about the film accompanying Jay-Z's American Gangster album, based on the Ridley Scott film of the same name.
VIBE has exclusively learned new details regarding the film version of Jay-Z's American Gangster - the Jay-Z concieved movie, based on his album, based on the Ridley Scott film. Jay-Z's American Gangster film will be a 40-minute-long, fictionalized account loosely depicting dramatic, real-deal details of Hov's life. The plot will focus on Jay's uncle, who was murdered, and his father, who became obsessed with revenge and completely changed his personality after the uncle's death. Prominent hip hop journalists are currently in talks with Jay-Z about writing the screenplay. VIBE will reveal more details as they become available.

I have a huge amount of respect for Jay-Z because almost everything he touches turns to gold, but this is something he needs to stay away from.
