America's favorite rapper, Lil Wayne, was arrested in Idaho on Friday on felony fugitive charges of drug possession.
The 25-year-old rapper, who was also arrested in late July for illegally carrying a .40 caliber handgun in Manhattan, was arrested after a performance at Boise's Qwest Arena and taken into custody. He missed his Saturday show, which caused an angry barrage of phone calls to the jail where Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was being held, the AP reports.
The rapper had already had an outstanding warrant, but was allowed to complete his Friday show while detectives stood off in the shadows of the concert hall until it was over.
The rapper was also arrested in 2005 on another drug charge. That same year he released his ground-breaking album "Tha Carter II."
Wayne was scheduled to perform at next weekend's BET Awards, but is now expected to be absent. He is currently being held without bond.
