In 2008, the mother of rap star Marshall “Eminem” Mathers plans to drop
a tell-all book which claims her son made up stories about his past in
order to gain a foothole, and acceptance, in hip hop.
My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem, alleges that the Detroit-bred rap star
was in fact a timid mama’s boy, who kept his mom from sleeping with her
new husband on their wedding night out of jealousy. It also claims
Eminem, 35, physically abused his mom when he was 23. And as if it
couldn’t get crazier, Nelson went on to devalue Eminem’s street cred.
The New York Post obtained the introduction of the book, ghostwritten by
British writer Annette Witheridge, which says:
"After his first album,
Infinite, flopped, he reinvented himself as white trailer trash with a
crazy welfare mom. I was shocked when I first heard the lyrics... but he
constantly reassured me it was all a big joke... I went along with it
for Marshall's sake."
Debbie Nelson is no stranger to hip hop. Eminem acquainted listeners
with his relationship with Nelson in his music for years, with portraits
of her being a drug-abusing, unfit parent.
In 2000, Nelson fired back with her own rap, an open letter, called "Set
The Record Straight” released through New Media Entertainment in
Nashville, telling her side of the Eminem saga. “I’m so excited by your
success / yet so let down by your betrayal,” she said over brooding bass
and a tinkering piano beat.
In 1999, Nelson sought $10 million from her son in a defamation suit but
only received $1,600.
Nelson was protrayed by Kim Basinger in the 2002 Oscar winning flick, 8
Mile.

ya'll stupid if you think what she says is true, the b**ch sued him for 10 mil and got 1600, she is only doing this, because she is on welfare and, is poor as shit. Of course he didn't grow up in Detroit, he lived in Warren and moved to Clinton Twp. Rappers often fabricate their lives, and if you listen to his music, he oftens says he is kidding. Another example is Kid Rock's lame ass, he ain't straight from a trailer, he grew up in a $650,000 dollar home in Romeo, his dad owns a Chevrolet Dealership. He had it way to good, little spoiled republican Bush supporting b**ch. Leave the cat alone, just be happy that hip-hop was blessed with such a gifted MC.

I would just like to say to the mother of Eminem, "Get a Life!". First off, rap is rap, we all know that! Whose to believe that all rappers rap about the truth anyway. I thought rap is suppose to be about how well a person can flow, make it rhyme and make sense. But then you get those rappers who tell a story, all at the same time and then make it sound believable, that's just the craft in the art of hip hop. Some artists only rap about what they think will sell anyway and Eminem, creatively done that and I don't recall him saying that the movie was a bio of himself. I think his mother needs a job, and should be concentrating on actually being a 'mother' and not a "mammie". Maybe his 'stories' are partially true, look at what she's doing now, they say the 'truth' hurts, but hey, it's also supposed to set you free! So, in saying all that, Eminem, if you read this, keep on rapping, I love your 'stories', fiction or nonfiction.
