Video features Static Major, who died three weeks after filming

Behind the scenes video footage, as well as a rough cut for Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” single has surfaced on the internet, and features some of the last footage of singer, producer, and songwriter, Stephen “Static Major” Garrett, who died this month of unknown causes.

The behind the scenes footage is slated to premiere on tomorrow’s (March 12) BET Access Granted. The video features clips of Lil Wayne and guest star Static dressed in tuxedos standing in what appears to be the backyard of an estate.

More behind the scenes footage was allegedly filmed by a bystander who explained in the description of the video, “I don't listen to hip hop. I just happen to be around the area in which they were filming and knew the guy whose house they were using for the video.”

A rough cut of the video appeared on YouTube today.

“Ya’ll ain’t hear this one yet, this is fresh off the press,” Static said in the clip from the video that’s being used for Access Granted. “Stay tuned, we’re going to give it to ya’ll real shortly.”

Static, who received writing credits for the song, was 33-years-old when he died in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky on Monday, February 25. The official cause of death is still pending. It was originally believed he succumbed to a brain aneurism, then it was rumored he passed away after complications following a surgery.

Major was a member of the 90s Def Jam R&B group Playa. He was reportedly set to release his own solo album, Suppertime, on OG Music/Blackground this year.

My nigga will be missed. Him and his group Playa is one of the best thing that ever happened to this city. That shit hit the city hard and unexpected. It's sad how I never got to work with him yet, him being out of town all the time. Then this, out of nowhere. He was about to put KY back on the map big time.

Black and Smokey (Playa), keep ya heads up high. I know that was y'alls nigga. Don't worry, he's smiling down on The Ville.
