The Game will premier a song, “911 Is A Joke” on his website ThisIzGame.com on April 29. The song is a response to the recent verdict given to four New York City police detectives who were acquitted in the killing of Sean Bell. The four officers killed Bell in a hail of gunfire as he was leaving his bachelor party the day of his wedding.
The song borrows its title from a record of the same name by Public Enemy. That version appeared on Public Enemy’s 1990 album, Fear of a Black Planet (Def Jam). The Game’s version will feature Black Wall Street artist, Clyde Carson. “This could have easily been me, my brother, my family.” Game said in a statement announcing the song. “My deepest condolences go out to his family.” "911 Is A Joke" is also slated to appear on the Game's upcoming album, L.A.X (Los Angeles Times), which is scheduled for release on July 8th.
