It seems like hip hop fans will have to wait until fall to listen to Common's anticipated Invincible Summer.
According to thatshiphop.com, the Chicago-born rapper’s ninth album has been pushed back to a September 23 release date. Common had this to say about his new project: “You can expect some fresh music that you’ve never heard from Common before…definitely a new sound. The inspiration came from me being out at them clubs. I said I want people to feel my music in that way… Not only do they know Common as this conscious artist who brings thoughtful lyrics, but we can dance to some of his music, too, and just smile and let go of our problems.”
The album was originally set to release in July with the song “Universal Mind Control” as the first single. Invincible Summer will feature production by The Neptunes and OutKast producer Mr. DJ.
In related news, conscious female rapper Jean Grae will release her highly anticipated album Jeanius on July 8th. Her new album is produced by 9th Wonder.

How proud and taken back I am by the flow of your article. I will no longer allow (someone) to doubt you. lol. Also, I am a bit dissapointed about the delay in the light that is Common, but I guess I will have to wait.
