Houston rapper Lil’ Flip (real name: Wesley Eric Weston Jr.) is currently recovering in a hospital after getting involved into a car accident in his hometown late last night.
The information was released through a press release. The accident took place on the Southwest side of Houston. While the details are not specific, his vehicle is totaled.
The rapper was rushed to a nearby hospital and was treated for neck and wrist injuries. The press release did not state the extent of the injuries but stated that Flip is doing well.
“We are looking forward to Lil’ Flip’s speedy recovery, so we can get back to promoting and doing shows for his July 29 release of Holla Back,” said a spokesperson for the rapper.
The rapper, who was given the title “freestyle king” by the late Houston legend DJ Screw, will have the album released via Clover G Records and distributed through BCD Records.
