Just days after Ludacris’ latest mixtape, DJ Drama Presents The Preview, hit the Internet, the rapper has come under fire by the media, concerned Democrats, and Republicans looking for any excuse to go on the offensive against likely Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama.
On the song entitled “Politics as Usual”, Ludacris calls Hillary Clinton a “bitch”, says the inevitable Republican nominee, John McCain, should be paralyzed in a wheelchair, and President Bush is “mentally handicap.”
Yesterday, Obama spokesman Bill Burton released a statement denouncing Ludacris’ lyrics on the song. Listen to the song here and read the statement from the Obama camp.
Ludacris - "Politics as Usual"
As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn't want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics."

Well, I feel like Ludacris can say what he wants, and that he should say what he wants, thats what rap is about Self Expression, as far as Obama, I understand the statment he made because, its all a Game politics, I would do the samething in his shoes, ""I like you Luda, but this might hurt my campaing so I'm gone have to do this, Nice song thoe."" Its all understandable, on both sides, LUDA he one of the best rappers my top 5.

I have to laugh at the absurdity of your words. First off the opening line of your missive which I will quote are "f**k Obama" so for you too insinuate my comments as ignorant because I used “colorful” language is myopic at best. Only because I enjoy debates I will continue to move onward with this topic and dissect your arguments point by point.
Based on your words, you feel that if anyone questions a Hip-Hop artist or points out that they do not endorse their point of view they are "against all of hip-hop”. Hip-Hop is not above being criticized in fact it needs to be. The absurd element in your argument is if you disagree with one or a few aspects of a movement. That you are against it entirely. I'll use myself as an example: I do not agree with all of Obama's positions however I agree with most... and I certainly agree with him on more issues than I do John McCain.
To be clear I’m not against you criticizing Obama. I’m against you saying “f**k Obama’ because the sad thing is that man has done and will do more for you any other candidate, president or hip hop artist anyway you cut it. He raised the bar for you and your offspring (whether they exist or not) and for you to say f**k him... is extremely sad. And yes I will put you in that category of those crab in the barrel negros out there. NEWS FLASH this election is bigger than just Hip-Hop, yes that right, I said it. This is larger than hip-hop. Our race is and the world is much, much bigger than a few well to do niggas talking about rims on a truck. If that is what you are so worried won’t survive criticism
You show you true background with the ”whatever son, you dudes are soft and willing to put cats on pedestals of perfection and not challenge what they say” but aren’t you doing exactly what you claim I am doing? By not realizing Luda is only concerned about his own pockets releasing that song now. Releasing it because it is the hot topic of the moment. Your most likely one of those who rap’s on a street corner. A guy waiting for a record deal since high school. (If you made it that far) lets pray you’re not that type. But you sure read as if it’s true to your profile. Then you reinforce that label when you actually bring up reparations, reparations? Negro get off the WICK check and earn your piece of the pie like ever other red blooded American. It’s a new day and the past is where it is. My people are all about moving forward and have no need for reparations. We only want what we work for.
To conclude I'll quote one of my favorite authors Charles Fuller “See, the Black race can't afford you no more. There used to be a time, we'd see someone like you singin', clownin', yassuh-bossin'... and we wouldn't do anything. Folks liked that. You were good. Homey kind of nigga. When they needed somebody to mistreat, call a name or two, they paraded you. Reminded them of the good old days. Not no more. The day of the Geechee is gone, boy. And you're going with it.”
I’m all for freedom of expression but if you are so short sighted that you cant see what this would mean for us as a people. Really it’s a waste of my time to engage in a back and forth. Because I belief you still lacked the depth of comprehension to understand why your opinions are so flawed. So I'll answer your question. If it’s a choice the choice is easy.
HIP-HOP or THE PRESIDENCY? THE PRESIDENCY YOU SCHMUCK!

So yall riding with the submissive appeasing rhetoric. The statement Obamas camp released was offensive to Hip Hop, it was not just directed at Luda and that one song.
What does Luda have to do with Obama getting votes anyway, Luda is not on Obamas campaign staff.
If Obama can handle the Jeremiah Wright contorversey this Luda flap is a bump in the road.
Crabs in a barrell, whatever son, you dudes are soft and willing to put cats on pedestals of perfection and not challnge what they say, even if it is detrimental to something that I am guessing you think is important; that being respect for ALL of Hip Hop.
Ask yall this, what do you love more, the possibilty of the first Black Presdent or Hip Hop? Hip Hop was with me before the thought of a black President and will be number one to me 10 black presidents down the road. B
Brneyedbanit, watch your f**king mouth when you talk about I am a sad example of whats out there. You dont know nothing about me and my life homey. I spend more time and effort then you could probably dream about educating and enlightening our people to the truth of us and our history. Erasing demagoguery and seeing good and bad, right and wrong and not just picking one side and staying with it no matter what. There is only one true righteousness and it is not bound to race, sex, religion or any other entity of that sort. You watching to much Chappelle with that keepin it real goes wrong BS. Oh yeah, and I'll add a mutha f**ka so your ignorant side hears me.
One more thing yall hardcore Obama backers that are refusing to see his attack on Luda as an attack on Hip Hop and call Obama out on it. Barack just recently dropped his stance on reperations... he is against it, how do you feel about that?
Bitter pill to swallow, do you constructively criticize his belief or do you sit down like GAYBOY told me to do?

Like Chris Rock said 'ni***rs vs. black people"."shabock" your a sad example of whats out there. this is like "when keep'n it real goes wrong" in the worst way. Like the old saying goes "like crabs in a barrel ni***rs always want to bring you down with them".
I'm a fan of Ladacris and on the real I feel his words...i know were he's coming from cause i feel the same way about the whole election. The questions is is NOW it the right time for this song .and the answer is NO.. unless you descovered some new census that says blacks are the majoriiy in the country other wise YOU AND LUDA NEED TO SHUT THE f**k UP!
Luda should have drop that on november 3 we gotta be smarter that this my people.

Right now I will say it, f**k OBAMA and his camp, you don't shit on Hip Hop to please mutha f**kas that dont understand it or even care about it. The comment his camp released was biased and slanted directly at mainstream rap music that most Hip Hop fans don't isten to. Defending Clinton, whom refused to concede the election even though it was impossible for her to attain enough elegates to win, is ridiculous. If that wasn't acting like a b**ch i don't know what is. Like Jay Z said, sistas will hold you down, a b**ch will hold you up," Clinton prolonging her campaign held Obama and the Democrats up. It is absolutely 'ludacris' to get offended at the remark he madee against Jesse Jackson. Apology or not he calld Obama a ni***r... A ni***r people!!! He can't get called out on that, that's BS. The comments on Mccain and Bush are good old fashioned battle rap insults, if you don't understand that your not Hip hop so leave it alone!!!
I personally think Obama and his camp should issue an apolgy to Ludacris for slandering his character. What they did to Luda is not any different then what O'reilly did a few years ago to him.

Y'all let's get him in office first before we mess up the spot... Damn, I think we are so excited that we can't control ourselves...
I love you Luda. You keep doin your thang.. Just ease up on Obama until he get the job done 1st......
