Rappers Beef with 'Best Rapper'

I told y'all this was gonna start some mess.

Rappers are gonna be upset. Real HIP-HOP Fans is not gonna be happy about the results because like I said before, if you know Nelly, but don't know a damn thang about Crooked I, then how is that fare game? You got underground rap mixed with Top #1 (One-hit wonders-teen boppers) matched up against each other, and then you want the public to vote the greastest rapper alive. We can hate on Lupe and Joe Budden all we want, but the truth is the truth. This competition is Bias.....They say the top 64, but they put Scarface (my favorite Houston M.C) on and not Rakim! Everybody knows that Rakim should be in the competition. Plus, you forgot DMX and Too Short, but yet we gotta choose between Diddy and Bow Wow. And you got Lil Mama before EVE, Remy Ma, Shawna or Rah Digga. This is HIP-HOP and I think y'all got the game f**ked up.......Diddy admitted he was not a rapper but clearly an entertainer. It's way too many opinions in the Vibe Office and I think this was not planned out very well. Once the winner is put out in the Vibe, all hell is gonna break loose. There is no great one rapper alive because it's too many different types of rappers in the business. Y'all should have stuck with The Best Female MC, The Best Old Skool, The Best Hard Core, THe Best Teen Booper, The Best Rap Entertainer, The Best Underground, The Best EAST-WEST-SOUTH-and MID-WEST Rappers, ect..... This would have been alittle more of a fair challenge to the readers of Vibe Magizine. It's easier to beef with someone when you got Lil Wayne going up against T.I for the Best lyrics in the business today. People can put out good points on both sides. But to compare Lil Mama to somebody like Nas(example- if they had to match up) this would not be a fare game...ms.vanee@yahoo.com or ms.ladyvanee@hotmail.com...

I'm not boycotting this competition regardless. If the REAL best rapper alive (Rakim!) is not on this list, I'm going to do my damedest to make sure somebody who doesn't deserve it will win. I have yet to see the real best rappers alive say they are the best rappers alive. Know why? They don't need to. They know their ish.

I understand where Lupe's coming from. They put him against Q-Tip because of that slight fight they had last year. VIBE is just tryna re-open wounds and create unnecessary drama. If he had be paired against someone else it wouldn't have been as bad or as blatant trying to create more beef

lupe and joe budden are nice as most of the dude out. great flows with substance. no gimmicks. just complex rhymes.

this is by far the worst list EVER tabulated. some 47 year old lady and a 13 year old made this list.

croooked i is very ill. he needs an album out. not just mixtapes. i dunno, i am torn between him and game. game has more material.

I don't really understand all the hate goin on against this competition....sure seeds are a lil messed up but these dudes should be happy they even in the shit......my dude crooked i got a 14 seed but u dont hear me complaining.....instead im just supporting him.....Crooked I=Best Rapper Alive....if ya don't believe that go check the material....more quality music than u gonna find with most rappers.....and on top of that he gettin better every damn week......vote crooked i ya'll

@ the person who wrote this story, You know damn well neither one of them has a shot at winning this. Lupe has a slim chance but Budden has no chance, putting him up against Nas. Whoever did the seeding messed up, but than again there was no method involved whatsoever. All you guys did was select rappers, you did match ups by whatever you found intriguing, and thats that. Lol at Lil mama, Missy, Juelz, Boosie, Paul Wall, Lil Webbie, rich boy, nelly, flo rida amongst others having a better seed than Joe Budden. Then you idiots wonder why people don't find Hip hop sites, and magazines credible anymore. It's because of garbage like this.
