“I found out that a certain member of the group took my publishing check”

For it to be a situation that boils down to simply money, that's something I can't forgive

A former member of the 90s R&B quartet 112, says the group broke up because a member stole money.

In an interview with EUR, Mike (real name Michael Keith) revealed, "I had to leave because I found out that a certain member of the group took my publishing check…It was made clear that it was intended for myself and another member, Slim."

The Atlanta-based group, formed by Sean “Diddy” Combs around 1996, was comprised of Q (real name Quinnes Parker, Slim (real name Marvin Scandrick), Daron Jones, and Keith. Their biggest hit was “Cupid” off their 1996 self-titled debut. The group left Bad Boy for Def Jam in 2002 before ultimately dissolving.

Keith would not specify if Q or Daron took the check. He said that he believes the culprit will soon come forward to defend himself.

"Because I am such a trustworthy person, and I teach my son the value of being a trustworthy person, once you negate all that, it's something there that's irreconcilable in my opinion,” he says. “I've put so much of myself into 112 and into the brand and into these guys. For it to be a situation that boils down to simply money, that's something I can't forgive."

Keith recently released a self-titled debut album on iTunes and Amazon.com.

Let me start off by saying if your a big fan of 112, you will defined love this album. it picks up from where pleasure and pain left us. This album has the regulars club songs and then it has some really good ballads on it. My favorite on the album is "Loves Crazy and "Son Gone" ft Faith Evans. I also love "Bedtime Stories" real grown and sexy. I pre-orderd the album on itunes before it came out, i was so impressed that actually went to pick the album from stores. Great Album
