Beyonce's said to be getting back to her Texas roots and working on a country-western record, according to British newspaper The Sun. This revelation comes just days after her internet-infamous collaboration with country group Sugarland, wherein the sassy lassies performed "Irreplacable" on the AMAs, gesturing wildly all the while. Well, you just have to watch it.
Apparently Bey was so taken with the Sugarland blondie's twang-and-swang, she's started
working on a country record with Amanda Ghost, the songwriter who blessed James Blunt with department-store anthem "You're Beautiful." Early this year, Bey registered her intent to conquer the Latin market, releasing a Spanish-language version of "Irreplacable" and landing on People en Espanol's "50 Most Beautiful List" (where she was the only non-Latina). But will she stop at the country charts? Call us when she drops a rap mixtape. Actually... don't.
